Scientists have discovered that "lycopene", the stuff that makes tomatoes red, which is most highly concentrated in tomato sauces, quite possibly prevents cancer. In a recent study, "lycopene" helped reduce the size and malignancy of prostate tumors and, in another study, it significantly reduced the risk of prostate cancer (which is a leading cause of death for men in Canada).
