A Simon Fraser University math major, Colin Percival, has calculated the quadrillionth binary digit (bit) of pi, which is zero. He previously calculated the five trillionth and forty trillionth bits of pi, which were also zero. The math whiz performed his latest calculation by combining results computed on 1,734 computers in more than 50 countries via the Internet.
