Humans in Yukon 25,000 years ago, researchers find
Researchers from the Canadian Museums of Nature and Civilization say that humans probably crossed the Bering Strait to the northern Yukon at least 25,000 years ago. This is twice as long ago as was previously believed. Scientists came to this conclusion after carbon-dating showed that bones which were found in caves in the north-western Yukon ranged in age from 10,000 to 25,000 years old.
