The wolverine, one of the most fearsome animals in the forest, can run for 50 kilometres (30 miles) without stopping when chasing prey.
Bat alert
Bat alert Rings which are slipped onto a bat's forearms to
identify them may be interfering with research and contributing to
bats going hungry. The sound that the rings make when they knock
together could be scaring away the bat's food. This not only
affects research results but leads to many hungry bats. 24 APRIL 1999, P. 22
