The survival of the African baobab tree is dependent upon monkeys and baboons who eat many of the seeds - so many in fact that some seeds are not chewed. The unchewed seeds pass through their bodies and are pooped out into the desert. These seeds are then able to sprout and draw nutrients from the pile of excrement.

Lynx fall prey to the vagaries of weather
Researchers have discovered that the Canadian lynx population is affected by climate cycles. Changes in temperature and snow cover in the three Canadian climate zones affect how easily lynx can catch their prey, snowshoe hares, and contribute to the different levels of the lynx population in these areas.
