Space garbage falls, dents farmer's land A metal ball, which was debris from a Delta rocket
launched in 1996, fell onto a farm east of Cape Town, South Africa,
leaving a 20 centimetre dent in the ground. Another ball that was a
metre wide fell onto a farm just outside of Cape Town. NASA says
that space garbage falls to Earth every day, but usually lands in
