Koalas are marsupials, a mammal that carries its young in a pouch. They live in the Eucalyptus forests of Australia and they only eat the new leaves of a few different types of eucalypt trees. Koala's paws are hand-like, strong, and have very sharp claws to help them hold onto tree trunks and branches.

Ontario smog puts treaty at risk
The emissions from three of Ontario's coal-fired power plants falls far short of U.S. pollution standards and is jeopardizing the renewal of a cross-border smog treaty between Ontario and New York. New York Attorney-General Eliot Spitzer reminded Environment Minister David Anderson in a letter that he promised the power plants would meet or exceed U.S. smog requirements. "'It is beyond dispute that Ontario Power Generation's coal-fired power plant's emissions also cause considerable damage to public health and the environment on both sides of our shared border,' he wrote."
