Spiders that hunt at night often have a special layer at the back of their big eyes. It acts like a mirror to bounce light back into the eyes. On a dark night, this reflected light makes the spider's eyes seem to glow!

The Danish government has initiated a new program which discourages consumers from buying products which contain detergents called ‘linear alkylbenzene sulphonates’ (LAS). The program's intent is to reduce the amount of LAS in sewage sludge so that it can be used in fields as fertilizer.
