Lonesome George having trouble finding love

Lonesome George having trouble finding love
Lonesome George is the last giant tortoise of his kind on the Galapagos Islands, and he has been unable to mate. George weighs about 90 kilograms and is between 50 and 80 years old. Scientists have placed two female tortoises of his closest subspecies with George, but so far with no luck. They are unsure why George has not mated, but are worried that the elderly tortoise will die without an heir, leaving his subspecies extinct.
