Chinese thirst
China is running out of water due to high levels of pollution found throughout their remaining water supply. A report from the World Resources Institute states that more than half of their cities have serious water shortages and around 80 per cent of the country’s rivers are so polluted that fish cannot survive in them. More than half of China’s population - around 700 million people - drink water that is contaminated above minimum drinking standards.
