When a female seahorse is ready to lay her eggs, she squirts as many as 600 eggs into the male's pouch. The male provides the eggs with all the oxygen and nutrients. Six weeks later he delivers young by shooting them out of his pouch.

High temperatures destroy coral reef

High temperatures destroy coral reef
The highest sea temperatures ever recorded - 31.5?C - have destroyed coral in Belize. This is the first time this has happened in 3,000 years. Scientists blame global warming and the El Nino weather pattern for the destruction of the coral. The high temperatures caused the single-cell algae, which give the reef its colour, to leave. This caused the coral to collapse and is endangering the fragile marine environment.
